Oakwood
Hall Hotel is a privately owned, family run hotel, situated in quiet
woodland surroundings on the outskirts of Bingley, a small market town,
at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
Bingley is approximately four miles from Bradford on the A650 and twelve miles from Leeds.

Within a short journey there are many great places to explore and enjoy:
Haworth and Bronte Country:
A charming cobbled Main Street with unique shops and cafes. The Bronte
Parsonage, now a museum devoted to the Bronte Sisters' Life, while a
little further from the town “Top Withens” is found, reputed to be
Wuthering Heights.
Saltaire:
World Heritage Site. Sir Titus Salt’s model village and giant woollen
mill, now housing a splendid David Hockney Gallery and interesting
shops.
Esholt: The original location for Emmerdale, home of the Woolpack Inn and Saint Leonards farm, which open to the public.
Bradford:
The world renowned Bradford Media Museum; Alhambra Theatre and St.
George's Hall boasting performances by many of Britain's leading
theatre companies. Abundant examples of Victorian architecture are
found throughout the city.
Ilkley:
An attractive town bustling with activity, situated only a few minutes
away from famous moorland and the Cow and Calf viewpoint.
Keighley:
The charming old stations and trains of the Keighley and Worth Valley
Railway have been the location for numerous films and TV series. All
the major shop chains are found within the centre of the town.
Skipton:
A thriving historic country market town with a well preserved medieval
castle, and the possibility to enjoy a pleasant canal boat trip.
Leeds:
With much to offer in the way of shopping, cultural activites and
attractive nightlife, Leeds is one destination not to be missed during
your stay in West Yorkshire. Attractions include the Royal Armouries
(comprising of many relics from the Tower of London), West Yorkshire
Playhouse and Leeds Grand Theatre, the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey,
Yorkshire cricket ground, ITV broadcasting station and much more.
Harrogate:
The conference centre, restored pump rooms, famous Betty's tea rooms
and Valley Gardens all come together to make Harrogate another
unmissible place to spend a day.
Surrounding Area
The
town enjoys a sheltered location nestling in the bottom of the Aire
Valley overlooked by the attractive countryside of the banks of the
Leeds Liverpool canal, where the world famous Five Rise Locks, a
Victorian engineering feat of great renown are situated. Road links are
good with the opening of the Bingley relief road; Skipton can be
reached in about twenty minutes, Haworth with its famous Bronte
Parsonage and the Worth Valley railway in ten. York is just over an
hour away and the many attractions of Bradford with its National Media
Museum and Industrial Museum and the heritage site of Saltaire can be
reached in less than thirty minutes. Leeds Bradford International
Airport is 8 miles. Good motorways and trunk road connections are also
an advantage.
